While the country continues to fight its battles every single day, most of us are clueless of what happens in the lives of our soldiers, who risk their livelihoods to keep the country safe from all external dangers.
The enemy often comes in front of them during Intelligence Based Operations, where they do not know what to expect upon reaching a certain place. Who they might encounter, would it be bombs or bullets, how would they overcome this obstacle? All the questions unanswered, they still make their way into the darkest of pits, not knowing if they’d survive or not.
Something very similar happened yesterday in Balochistan. Pakistan Army Captain Sohail Abid along with his contingent stormed the Kili Almas area of Balochistan, on an Intelligence Based Operation against the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and its chief, who have been murdering Hazaras and innocent policemen for the longest while in the province.
Colonel Sohail Abid took the lead in the operation as he remains the only person who was martyred on security forces’ side in the operation. Other than Colonel Abid, four other soldiers were injured. Upon reaching, the fearless army men neutralized Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s chief, Salman Badeni, along with 2 other young suicide bombers who were being readied for work in the province.

After the COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa had visited Quetta and promised the affected Hazara community on leverage for their people, the intelligence based operations kicked off. The Army’s media wing added that during the operation three terrorists, including the two suicide bombers, were killed and one was arrested after being injured.
