The entire world witnessed the historical moment just a few days ago when the Royal decree of Saudi Arabia allowed giving women of the country the license to drive. In addition to the good news, there are speculations that the country will witness the return of cinema halls. As reported by Saudi Gazette, the former chairman of the Saudi Cinema Committee, Fahd al Tamimi stated that cinema halls throughout the country will be launched by the end of 2017.

Just like there was no formal law which banned women from driving, the Ministry of Culture and Information also follows no law which averts the making of cinema halls.

Back in the 1970s, the country witnessed the rise of cinemas which continue remain to be banned. However, entertainment festivals such as musical concerts and film festivals have lately become a part of Saudi Arabia. The Vision 2030 promises to bring cultural reforms in the country. These reforms include theaters and parks as commissioned by the Saudi government.

The funding of these projects would be a mixture of private sector investments and government funding.

Saudi Arabia is implementing a lot of changes and that can be grasped from the statements made by the Chairman of General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Mr. Ahmed al-Khateeb.

Creating the opportunities for more than 20,000 individuals, the GEextravagant2030 is an extravagant project which will include other ventures such as, car racing tracks, golf courses and various more.

Seems like Saudi Arabia is finally witnessing the pleasures of the modern age development.
