Convocations can be boring sometimes, getting all dressed and waiting in the line for long. Then doing all the formal rituals and sitting poles apart from your friends because of the ascending order of the names. LOL! Then comes the long speeches given by the chief guests and directors and deans and rectors of the university. Yeah, convocations can be legit boring at times, and then we look at our poor parents who have come to see their kids graduate and be on the stage to get the degree for which they and their kids have spent endless sleepless nights working hard.
In all these emotional times at the convocation, if we get to hear something good and light-hearted; it can change the mood altogether!

Ashraf Habibullah is a structural engineer, he is the CEO of Computers and Structures Inc, a structural and earthquake engineering software company based in Berkeley, California. He’s a true Pakistani and a die-hard Karachiite!
