Just when we were not over little Nashwa’s unfortunate ending, we are met with yet another story of doctor’s negligence leading to a minor’s passing. This incident took place in a private clinic in Gulshan-e-Iqbal known as Adnan Clinic in Block 13-D. Saba Noor just 8 years of age was brought to this clinic on Saturday evening complaining of chest congestion and shortness of breath. She received an injection by ‘Dr.’ Adnan, shortly after which she started havings fits. The doctor advised the parents to shift her to a private hospital but the little soul lost the battle, en route.

News About The Doctor Surfaces After Investigation
Upon police’s raid on the clinic late Saturday night the doctor was taken in and the investigations revealed him to be a bogus doctor and a complete fraud playing with innocent people’s lives. Gulshan-e-Iqbal’s DSP Ali Hasan Sheikh stated that the documents and certificates submitted by Adnan were fake and he doesn’t even know the meaning of MBBS on top of which the fraudulent has been running his clinic as a homeopathic doctor for years (18 years). Not to mention the medical card he holds is also not real.
DSP revealed that they were approached through the Madadgar Helpline 15 and upon hearing the incident they immediately took action but by the time they reached the clinic, Adnan was already on the run. They finally got hold of him from his second clinic that is located near old Sabzi Mandi.
Quack Claims To Have Administered The Right Injection
The eight-year-old Saba’s post clinical were carried out in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) after much delay and the samples have been sent to the chemical department and laboratory at the University of Karachi. Lab reports will be released as soon as they are received. However, the fake doctor is claiming to have homeopathic education and has completed several courses. According to him, Saba was given the right dose of injection.

The parents like any other who has lost something so valuable are grieving and distraught. They want the authorities to start a crackdown on bogus doctors that make money off of innocent people’s lives. A case 234/19 has been registered against Dr. Adnan under section 322 and section 319 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on Saba’s father Zafar’s request.
Adnan along with his claims of being innocent admits to having committed a mistake and would like to seek pardon from Saba’s parents. The country grieves for the little souls and wishes that a serious action against all quacks is taken as soon as possible, so no more lives are taken away due to malpractice and medical negligence.
