An extremely tragic incident took place in Kohat, where a young aspiring doctor was murdered in cold blood by a man named Mujahid Afridi. Third-year medical student Asma Bibi was on vacations from her Medical College in Abbotabad.
The man who murdered a very talented young aspiring doctor, Mujahid Afridi, belongs to a family that is linked with the ruling party in KPK, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
After the tragic last moments of Asma Bibi were recorded on camera by her brother, where she named her murderer, the case got viral on social media. This demanded prompt response from KPK police, who are already dumbfound in a case that involves another Asma, the 4-year-old girl who was raped and murdered.
In a bid to try and catch Mujahid Afridi, the police raided his home, only to find his brother and know that Mujahid Afridi had already escaped to Saudi Arabia. Due to his name not being on the exit control list, it was rather easy for him to leave Pakistan in time.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, in a latest update, has approached the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to try and locate Mujahid Afridi with the help of Interpol. Mujahid Afridi’s brother who was arrested, Sadiq, holds uncanny resemblance to his brother which has confused a lot of people on social media.
With Mujahid Afridi still on the run, KPK police is trying its best to solve the case in time, before they are slated for their negligence and time wasting. When KPK CM Parvez Khattak was asked about the incident, he said that such things could not be prevented. These comments have not went well with the locals of KPK, especially the people of Kohat.
However, Sadiq’s arrest is a huge achievement in the case, as he is also the co-accused in the case, as an aid and abet in the case.
The incident is gaining vast attention on social media, as people are extremely sad after the death of the young medical student. The emotional attachment further comprehended due to her video going viral on Facebook, where she takes the culprit’s name three times.
