Ramadan is a blessed month that is beloved to Allah. It allows a Muslim to multiply the rewards and blessings through heartfelt worship, performing Islamic rituals with complete dedication, doing righteous deeds and abstaining from the bad deeds. It’s a special blessing from Allah that when a Muslims commits a sin or does any kind of wrong it is written as is and is not multiplied. However, during the holy month of Ramadan, the smallest of a deed done with the right intention bears multiple rewards and sometimes even tenfolds. Indeed, this knowledge is only possessed by Allah SWT.

There are several ways where you can reap multiple rewards in the sacred month of Ramadan. There are several ways to worship Allah but we have shed light on three of them to show you how you can maximize your rewards and blessings. Let’s get into it.

1. Tasbeeh

Tasbeeh is the easiest way you can worship Allah SWT. It’s something any Muslim can easily do at any place. In Ramadan even doing tasbeeh will get you more rewards and blessings compared to the regular months.

Ibn Abi ad-Dunya narrated in Fadaa’il Ramadan (p. 51) that az-Zuhri said: One tasbeeh (saying subhaanallah) in Ramadan is better than saying a thousand tasbeehs at other times.

Ibraheem An-Nakha‘i who is a renown scholar among the followers of Abd-Allah ibn Mas’ud, in Lataa’if al-Ma‘aarif by Ibn Rajab (p. 151) he narrated, “Fasting one day in Ramadan is better than fasting a thousand days, and saying tasbeeh in it is better than saying a thousand tasbeehs, and one rak‘ah in it is better than a thousand rak‘ahs”

2. Performing Salah (Namaz)

Since every act of worship is multiplied in this month, so even when we pray one salah it is counted as more than one and we hence even the reward we get is multiplied. How much? That is only the knowledge that Allah possesses. If He wills it can be tenfolds. We have been given instructions and advises from the beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W- Either directly from him that are later recorded as ahadiths or through his actions. In respect to prayers, we can observe the following hadith.

Abu Hurayrah (r.a)said: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: “Prayer in congregation is twenty-five times better than the prayer of one of you on his own.” According to another narration, it is mentioned: “twenty-seven times better.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

So with the reward, we can practice this during Ramadan, that is, to pray in congregation. Men and women can easily achieve that at home and in the masjid.

3. Reciting The Holy Quran

Reciting the Quran in Ramadan also blesses you more than reciting in regular months. So it’s best practice to read the Quran as much as we can.

The Prophet said “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter. (al-Tirmidhi and al-Hakim – Sahih al-Jami’ (6469))

Subhanallah! How beautiful is our religion, according to the hadith one can deduce that the Prophet mentions that every letter that you recite will give you a reward that will be multiplied making it 10 times more than how much Allah blesses a Muslim in months other than the Ramadan.

This holy month is crucial for every Muslim as Allah has special blessings, rewards, and rehmats for us. Even if you are unable to do any of the above for any reason, you can always make sincere Dua. Allah has made our religion easy on us and below hadith shows it.

The Messenger of Allaah said: “Whoever sought forgiveness for believing men and believing women, Allaah writes a good deed for him for every believing man and woman.” (at-Tabrani)

So, let’s make the most of this month by fasting, praying, reciting Quran, doing zikr and through other acts of worship.
