Ramadan 2019 has just begun and is in full swing. Today marks the first day of fasting and it’s the toughest as your body has just begun to adjust to the new routine; some struggle to maintain their first fast of the year while for others with the blessings of Allah is easy on them.

Muslim parents encourage their young children that have come of age to fast according to Islam to observe fasting. It is not expected of them to follow through the hours till Maghrib since it is hard for kids to go on empty stomachs for that long and even if they do, they out of carelessness break it by casually eating food.

We have all gone through the time when we accidentally broke our fast and it is not restricted to age, even adults absentmindedly break their Roza. We asked people to reminisce and tell us when they broke their fast by accident and the answers are hilarious!

It’s perfectly fine to mistakenly break your fast. Islam doesn’t punish a rozaydaar for actions done unintentionally. However, it is best to take cautions and be wary of your surroundings that might have delicious treats and snacks laid out as traps on your dining tables and in your drawers. If you think you are prone to such accidents then best to stay away from the kitchen. Goodluck!
