You can find exceptional talent in Pakistan everywhere from the streets of Lyari to the mountains of Hunza and we as Pakistani’s appreciate the talent that we find in our beautiful country. Once such is the case of a young artist aspiring to do more for her fellow country.

Meet Sukainah Hussain Khoso, a young aspiring artist who wishes to paint her way to fund the education and healthcare of her fellow people, just at a merry age of 14.

She started painting when she was 8 years old and upon seeing her natural born talent, her parents not only promoted her but took her to see the works of another artist to seek inspiration. At the mere age of 12, Mr. Yousuf Bashir Qureshi, commonly known as YBQ, recognized her talent and allowed her to visit his humble Commune Artist Colony.

She aims to get enrolled in one of the oldest and the most prestigious institution in Pakistan, National College of Arts (NCA), which has produced exceptional artists such as Jamil Naqsh, Quddus Mirza, Mohammad Ali Talpur and many more. Recently, when she got a chance to visit an NGO run school for a Ramadan If tar drive, she was heartbroken to see the state of affairs and the lack of funds the schools has to sustain itself. Because of these reasons, she has decided to start selling her painting and to forward the proceeds from the sales to charitable causes that will help to provide education and healthcare.

Her paintings have so far been displayed at Arts Council, Alliance Francoise Karachi, and YALE IBA events. We need more open spaces for such talent to be displayed more frequently so that they get appreciation and confidence to continue producing such brilliant results.
