The question that has been increasing like fire and comes to the mind of every citizen these days is that can suicide be considered as the only option or solution for every problem in this society? Every person in our society is directly or indirectly facing lots of problems, a few of them think these problems shall never be solved but the point is that these people don’t feel like solving their problems.

A person who thinks suicide is the final resort is on the wrong path of life or had been interpreting wrong lessons from their experiences. They feel lost in this world; suffer deep sorrow, depression, unimaginable emotional pain and all thoughts that contemplate one to commit suicide. This brings me to questions for the teenagers; is this the strength you possess to face the problems? Is it the only solution for your temporary tensions? Why can’t you search for solutions? What might be the reasons for your problems?

What about your loved ones, your parents, your friends? What if they have no one except you in their life? Do you want them to answer people after you are dead? Hardly 10% of the people think about these questions before committing suicide. Fortunately those who think about these questions happen to save their lives and give it another chance but still, the ratio for suicides is way too high than of those who die of accidents or heart attacks.

There are many scenarios behind committing suicide. The teenagers who consider themselves failures and do not cope up with their life commit suicide. For those unsuccessful teenagers whose parents dictate them their future goals and career commit suicide only because they are not able to achieve them. Teenagers being harassed, bullied, abused, discriminated, and raped with many harms they received from others lead them to choose the devastating path of suicide.

Some people, who suffer from anxiety, stress from work, unemployment, poverty, married life, responsibilities, commitments, domestic violence and you name it, comes in the category of the adult suicides. What is the difference between a  teenage suicide and the adult suicide attempts? Probably the answer is simply nothing! Both of them show immature attitude and hopelessness in their respective situations. The modernism that is appearing in committing suicide is expanding throughout every culture and society. It is getting common and more practiced in not only western countries but Asian countries as well.

The highest suicide rate is of Guyana i.e. 44 out of 100,000 people commit suicide every year and a few of them leave suicidal notes. The next countries in a row with highest suicide rates are Ukraine, Bhutan, Sudan, Comoros, Zimbabwe, Japan, Hungary, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Korea, Poland, China etc. Apart from these countries, there are many others with similar rates of suicide. Is there anyone who can solve or stop this suicide rate from increasing?

Loved ones of people who commit suicide cannot stop them besides regretting and digging their graves at the end. Who is responsible for such suicide attempts? What enforces the people to commit suicide? What is that makes them powerful enough to take this step or probably weaker to choose this option? Is it the only solution? Is it the only way to get rid of the temporary pains and stress forever? These questions are unanswered to me and shall remain unanswered until every person realizes the importance of their precious life.
