UHS (University Of Health Sciences) conducted a test for Medical Colleges by the name MDCAT (Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test). They do this every year in order to select 3069 students (including private) out of 60 or 70 thousand students. In short, the cream of our nation.
Last year the merit raised to an unbelievable level. It was 88.6% in 2016 and 86.4% in 2015, an increase which never occurred since 2008. In hopes of bringing the merit down, as the students would move away from MBBS and BDS due to such merit, they allegedly increased the syllabus AND took the test 1 week before than usual schedule.
Our Educational System, Punjab Boards (Gujranwala, Jhelum, Faisalabad etc) gave students SUCH RIDICULOUS amounts of marks which are just IMPOSSIBLE to imagine. This year, a girl from FSD Board took the 1st position by securing 1090/1100, matlab Urdu, English aur Pakistan Studies may jo essential cutting hoti hai woh bhaar may gai. Yeh log pehlay udhar se set kartey nae aur idhar aa ker humein muun ki maartey hain aur woh bhi aesi kay apka confidence Allah ko pyaara hojaye.
UHS MDCAT 2017, they took the word “difficult” to a whole new level. We were asked to solve SUCH a paper which even our teachers couldn’t do if they had the same time given to us.
150 minutes for 220 questions, we have 40 seconds for each question.
1) According to the time, the questions that were given involved lengthy calculations that are to be done by calculators, but we are not allowed calculators for the test hence IMPOSSIBLE.
2) English VOCAB: The “options” which were given in that amazing words, I’m pretty sure only the people who have done Ph.D. (English) would know.
3) Physics Portion: These sort of questions are time-consuming and not just that, one of the Academies in Lahore, Star Academy, leaked the physics paper for 50k
50k!!! My future, the happiness I wanted to give my parents when I returned home was traded just for a mere amount of 50,000.
My hard work, my passion, my dedication was traded for 50k!!! “Ary News” also cracked the information but just for a few minutes. It’s just not me, 70,000 children alongside me have suffered the same fate. If I wouldn’t have messaged you, I guess no one would have.
UHS had to defend itself somehow hence they released an image on their website labeling our protest as “malicious content” and reported it to the FIA Cyber Crime Wing. Star Academy is defending itself and labeled the protest as baseless. The paper was seen just an hour after MDCAT and with exact values in the paper. Star Academy said they had compiled the information from their students.
Tell me about a single person in the world who can remember options EXACTLY to its FOURTH decimal point and power? There was another image of a person who has written all the answers of Physics portion’s questions on his admittance card. This raises 2 points:
1) No one is allowed to write on his/her admittance card then how did this happen?
2) Who in the world would have enough time to write such stuff from the paper when you have 40 seconds for each MCQ and a total of 150 minutes for 220 MCQS?
UHS, after their transparent leak, tried to scare the students from carrying out protests and raising their voices by involving FIA, this is what our nation is educating us for? Ghalti karo aur kamzor ki awaaz doba dou? Yeh hai humari ghairat? Iss mulk kay barey humein yeh sekha rahey hain? Yeh humari taleem ki aukaat hai? God knows how I and 70,000 other people studied!!!
I dreamt of that white coat. I dreamt of becoming an honest and great doctor and above all, I dreamt of serving my country in that white coat! I won’t let it go down easily until this changes! You have played with the dreams of 70,000 people!
