One of the most outlandish news to erupt out, a teenager in Punjab has been arrested for sexually assaulting a chicken. The nonsensical act was committed by a 14-year-old boy in Hafizabad, who is now under the police’s custody.
Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune learned from Hafizabad Police that a young boy had been arrested after forcing his way on a chicken and then killing it.
The owner of the chicken lodged a complaint with the police stating that the alleged suspect had picked his chicken up and then took it to his home, where he committed vile acts with it, before ending its life. Apparently, there are two eyewitnesses to the incident as well.
The Hafizabad police conducted a medical examination of the chicken’s body and confirmed that the chicken, indeed, had been subject to sexual assault. The SHO of the station said: “He is a 14-year-old boy and did it out of sexual frustration”. Many suggest that this incident is an outcome of overpowering technology and westernization that has entered Pakistan, with adult content available very easily for children, regardless of their age.
The young boy was arrested on Monday and was presented before the court today. It is still unknown as to what the court will be ordering as punishment, but the growing cases of sexual frustration in Pakistan need to be looked into by think-tanks, finding a purposeful solution for such incidents.
There should be educational programs at an urban and rural level for the eradication of such frustration. Many families in Pakistan’s rural belts resort to early marriages to overcome acts committed out of frustration such as this incident. However, if a 14-year-old boy is frustrated enough to do something like this, there surely is no accountability for dozens of cases of assault and rape that take place in the country every month.
