Once again, terrorists tried to subdue the peace and prosperity of Pakistan. This time, it was on the auspicious day of 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, the day our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born.
On the early hours of Friday, 5 terrorists entered the Agriculture Directorate located in front of the University of Peshawar. The gunmen opened indiscriminate fire and took 9 lives, injuring another 38. The gunmen entered the directorate in a rickshaw dressed as women in Burqas.
Prompt action from the security agencies of Peshawar, especially the police, lead to all the terrorist’s death and fewer casualties. Everyone did their job diligently, but one man’s efforts were highlighted significantly on social media. Meet Sajjad Khan, the SSP Peshawar, who reached the incident’s location in his sleeping dress, as soon as he heard that there was a situation of terrorism in the area under his jurisdiction.
Sajjad Khan was photographed, wearing a sleeping suit with a Kalashnikov on his shoulder. Ever since then, social media has been buzzing about his diligence towards his work and the safety of the people.

People have been appreciating Peshawar police especially, for being able to neutralize the terrorists in a short period of time with a low number of casualties.
SSP SAJJAD KHAN reached the site in his sleeping suit and conducted a successful operation along with KPK Police and Pakistan Army.

We must acknowledge officers like Sajjad Khan and his team, for they are the reason that people still somewhat believe in the Pakistan police. However, it is also the responsibility of other security agencies to foil such terrorist plots before they are successfully hatched. Our condolences to the people who lost their lives and limbs in the Peshawar attack.
