The month of Ramazan is here. Along with its infinite virtues and blessings, this month teaches you numerous lessons as well but patience holds the first position. The patience of keeping yourself thirsty and hungry, fasting throughout the day, the patience of bothering difficulties and feeling the pain of others is all this month teaches us.
But unfortunately, we fast just as a tradition or practice our ancestors followed. We haven’t understood the real meaning of fasting in Ramadan. Recently a girl, Sadia shared her story on Facebook that how an old woman was ill-treated by shopkeepers of renowned medicine shop in DHA, Karachi. Here is the whole story.
This is extremely important please spread as much as you can:
15 minutes ago I went to #MarshallsChemist DHA to pick up my father’s medicines as it’s #PIA‘s designated pharmacy for its employees’ medicines. While I was waiting for my turn I overheard “Apko to muft mil rahi hay ye hi le ke jain aap k kaun se paise lagte hain”. This was indeed a shocking statement for me as #PIA is paying these ruthless people… I saw an aunt in her mid-70s, barely standing on her feet, continuously pleading that jerk “Beta, main apse request kar rhi hun atleast Ramzan tak ki poori de do main rozay main kese aaon gi lene”… Upon hearing this conversation, I couldn’t resist myself and confronted that idiot:
Me: Ye aap kis tarhan se baat ker rahy hain aunty se?
Jerk: Kya? (shamelessly)
Me: Ap ye kya bar bar keh rahy hain muft mil rhi hay apko?
Jerk: Han to mil rahi hai na muft (rudely)
Me: Tameez se baat nahin ker sakte aap aunty se? Umar dekhi hai apne unki?
Jerk: Han to inhain samjh nahin arhi (pointing me) ap apni medicine uthain aur jain yahan se
Me: Nahen jati tameez se baat kero… bula lo apne manager ko
Then suddenly a khamoosh tamashai who most shamelessly listening to the whole conversation came out of nowhere and harshly told me
Jerk 2: Ap chup karain (to aunty) apko main ne samjha dia hay k ye nahn mil skti 20,000 phans jain ge humaray tu ap kyun bol rahi hain.
Aunty: Beta main to request ker rahi hun sirf
Jerk1: Inhain samjh hi nahin arhi. Muft dawa de rahy hain inhain.
Me: Apna behavior theek kero phir baat kero.
In this entire fight, aunty was clearly scared as they won’t give her any medicine at all.. seeing her face, I stepped back and came out but my questions are:
Is #MarshallsChemist charity pharmacy? Don’t they get paid by #PIA? Aren’t they making profits of millions and billions from #PIA’s employees?
If #PIA is not paying you then discontinue PIA contract. Why don’t you? Are #PIA employees not worth respect? And above all these animals in #MarshallsChemist don’t have their own mother? And do they treat their mothers like this? I want to escalate this issue till it reaches to the right people because nothing is more than respect.
Please share this as much as you can especially my media friends. Those 2 assholes need to be questioned and above all #MarshallsChemist

It is not about the authorities only, we as an individual also have some responsibilities towards the senior citizens. The behavior of both the shopkeepers is in no way acceptable, we hope that PIA should take some notice.
