Just went through a piece of heartbreaking news and this incident just shatters my heart to pieces. A case of so-called self-destruction was reported in Faisal Town, Lahore which later turned out to be planned killing. Musmaat Nimrah’s life was taken by none other than her husband. Her husband, Mian Faisal Shahzad, a lawyer by profession, was drunk the other night and heartlessly took the life of his wife. Faisal and Masmaat got married three years ago and had a son too.

Now, to add insult to injury, Musmaat was 8 months pregnant and was carrying her daughter in her womb. According to resources, after finding out that Musmaat would give birth to a girl, Faisal wanted to abort the baby. However, Musmaat thought otherwise and this resulted in constant arguments and fight between the couple which led Faisal to hang his pregnant wife from a fan.

Heartbreaking indeed

This Is So Painful to Look At!

The Faisal Town police arrived at the crime scene and began their investigation. They sent the body to the Jinnah Hospital for a postpartum while in the presence of her brother, Ali Ahmed and the monstrous culprit, Faisal has now been arrested.

What has really happened to us? Are we really Muslims? Have we stooped so low that we have come to a point where we don’t really care about a person’s life? Is this what our Prophet P.B.UH has taught us? We need to look into ourselves and see if there’s a tiny criminal like Faisal in all of us and we need to get rid of him as soon as possible.

No matter if its a man, woman, child, old or anyone, every human is beautiful and holds a certain value. Allah says in the Quran,

“Whoever kills a person [innocent person]…it is as though he has killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind..”  ~Al-Quran

So, have we become so insensitive that we don’t even think of our Lord before taking innocent lives? The answers are here within us and we really need to work on them. Let’s live, and let live.
