Even though there is no doubt that the Punjab Government played a huge part in the arrest of 7-year-old Zainab’s murdered and rapist, however, something happened yesterday that has pissed half of Pakistan off.
Imran Ali, the 24-year-old neighbor of Zainab’s aunt, was found out to be the real culprit, the animal who raped and murdered an angel. People close to him said that Imran was a naatkhwan, and nobody in their right senses could have blamed him for the incident.
But after two successful DNA tests, Imran Ali finally confessed that it was him all along. He had disguised himself, and had shaved his beard off right after killing Zainab and throwing her body in a pile of trash.
After Imran’s arrest, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif held a press conference with Muhammad Amin sahab, Zainab’s grieving father.
All the people present on the press conference stage, except Zainab’s father, were happy, laughing and celebrating the arrest as a victory, which it surely was. However, it was very insensitive of them to do so in front of Zainab’s father, who will never be able to smile in this particular case.
Furthermore, people are extremely angry for the clapping that Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah started after announcing the arrest of Imran Ali. The duo were all praise for Punjab Police, the same police, which had demanded Rs. 10,000 to give Zainab’s body to her loved ones, the same police which had fired at protesters who demanded justice for Zainab.
This was no their only folly. When Muhammad Amin, Zainab’s father, wanted to speak on the mic, Shehbaz Sharif turned both his mics off and turned them away from Amin sahab. This, again, hurt a lot of sentiments and made people very angry.

Is that really a clapping moment? Seriously a shameful act. Those who are getting appreciation from shehbaz sharif just think once before clapping.
