Sometimes in life things happen that none of us expect. One of the biggest in Karachi is that of police harassment. Even though the police might not always be wrong in their pursuance of illegal substances, but sometimes, they do get a little extra, especially when it comes to Hashish.
It is not a myth, that Karachi’s youth is addicted to Hash (charas). Anyone who has lived in the city for a couple of months, hung out around, knows that the populous is indeed slave to the addiction, especially the youth.
The only thing that comes in the way of the product and the consumer, is Karachi police. Officers would go the length to find a single ‘cheeta’ of Hashish on the public, raw or in process, which would be enough to threaten them to either pay a good amount of money, or go to jail.
However, the tables have turned in Karachi, thanks to FixIt. A member of the social activist campaign countered a police officer who was sitting in public and smoking Charas.
On live video, the member of FixIt got extremely pumped and would not let the policeman get away with it. The policeman belonged to the Mobina Police Station in Karachi. The general public is having a good laugh on the incident, as it is the same police officers who harass public on the same agenda.
People are praising the power of the common man, who once decides to go against wrong, will take the context into new horizons. The FixIt member has been recognized as Sadaqat, who has already built quite a following for himself on social media do to his ventures against the rule makers of Karachi.
The policeman, on camera, could be seen begging the civilian to not upload the video clip and ruin his career. However, these policemen when given the chance, would easily ruin someone else’s life on a issue much lighter than this.
