Karachi is a mother to many kids! A throbbing population of 2.5 crores is living and breathing in this city, and is still growing with each passing year. We have so many stories of people who came to this city with a handful of money and big dreams. These are the people who grew big with the city and they not only fulfilled their dreams but made sure that the city is benefitting from their dreams too.
People love Karachi for its spirit, for its versatility. People come to this city from everywhere, not just from Pakistan but from all over the world. The educational opportunities is not the only thing for which people come to this city but many business opportunities as well.
Here, people would see many beggars, thousands of slums and labor class, too! But what we, sometimes, oversee is how these people survive at the ends given by this city. They do everything and anything to bring back meals to their houses; from selling flowers to seasonal fruits and even little sweets and munchies that anyone would buy at their way back home.
This little kid, aged around 6 to 7 years old was seen by almost everyone at the ticket line of Karachi Eat 2019! He was selling tiny packets of dry fruits and sweets.
Almost everyone’s heart melted at the sight of this boy’s innocent face!

This girl wrote that: “If you went to this festival, saw this kid and didn’t buy from him, you’re a scum.“
To which people said that not buying from this won’t make you any less of a kind soul. Well well well!
“Not buying from the kid doesn’t make anyone a scum. People who allowed him in to sell stuff are the real scum. Be a caretaker, pay for them to go to school. Care for them and keep a constant check. That’s how u deal with these children instead of giving them money that lasts a day”
This boy wanted to say that only buying the stuff from him won’t do any good to him, but rather invest in his education! Agreeable!

Oh wow! Someone actually did buy ALL THE THINGS from the kid. WOHOO! Bravo.
Some people believe that kids shouldn’t be begging, but we can help the kids who are actually earning and not begging. Maybe we can do something for every kid who’s either begging or selling.
