“It’s saddening, how hatred is so massively commercialized. And only a minority strives for promoting love and empathy.”

18 August  2017, I was checking my Facebook news feed when my eyes caught the sight of a video uploaded via an online News and Media Company.

We all are well aware of the reality that Muslims around the globe are facing a lot of difficulties; especially on religious grounds. The worldwide conspiracies about the Muslim Community, has molded the mind sets of people in a way that the Non-Muslims somehow majorly think negative about the Muslims. Terrorism; of which Muslims are the front line victims, yet the world thinks that Muslims are responsible for the emergence of terror killing in the world.

So, recently this female politician of Australia named Pauline Hanson came to the Parliament session wearing a Burka for the purpose of ridiculing the Muslim culture. And then once seated among all the senators she removed that Burka and started making her speech on ‘how the Burka could be a threat to the national security, and that Burka should be banned in Australia.’ While the other members of the Australian

Senate condemned her misleading act, as George Brandis (Australian Attorney General) said; ‘That to ridicule a community like that, to drive it in corner, and to mock their religious beliefs is an appalling thing to do” Good to see the appropriate reaction of the fellow Parliament members. But this is not the first time that Miss. Hanson has been discriminatory. So it’s time to raise some words.

I don’t understand why on earth we Muslims are targeted for our religious beliefs, appearance and garments. Why? Muslims never question Christianity or Hinduism, or any other religion around the world. Then why do we have to give proves for our faith and innocence. We all know that there are some evil heads out there; who are responsible for polluting the image of Muslims. And they are working with the agenda of making the existence of Muslims on earth suspicious. But that doesn’t make the whole Muslim Community terrorists.

With due respect I would like to ask this woman, that Madam; how would you feel personally if someone questions your religious beliefs?  How would you feel if someone talks disgustingly about the way you dress up? How would you feel if someone would raise humiliating questions about your way of living, or if someone would blame you for being responsible for something you haven’t done?

Muslims have never mocked people from other religions. And that’s because this is something our religion Islam teaches us; that’s how beautiful our religion is. We are followers of the Religion that teaches us to be kind and considerate.

Just because what you see or hear through Media makes you thinks that Muslims are a threat, that doesn’t means that it’s true. It’s easy to hold an opinion when you know the least about a scenario. But once you indulge in the details, your thoughts possibly deviate. For details hold the missing bits and pieces of the story; which you might have been misjudging so far.

Kindly Miss. Hanson if you could, instead of blaming and targeting the whole Muslim community on the basis of the conspiracies, try reading about our culture, about us. We’re as human as you are. We are yearning for peace more than you. We are those who have been fighting and are still on war with the domestic and foreign agencies; which are working on the propaganda for ruining our image around the world. We are those who have been targeted and tormented majorly by terrorism, but we’re still on our way to find peace amidst the chaos. Respect our struggle and let us live!
