Social media has erupted with reactions after Captain (retd) Safdar produced a speech in Parliament of Pakistan, the most significant department of the country. Captain Safdar lodged a heavy speech in the parliament, criticizing the decision to rename Quaid-e-Azam University’s Physics centre after the Nobel Prize laureate, Professor Dr Abdus Salam.
Keep in mind, the decision to rename the Physics centre of the university was approved in 2016 by then Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif. Nuclear Physicist, Dr Abdus Salam belongs to the Ahmadi community, a major minority in Pakistan. The son-in-law of Nawaz Sharif, Captain Safdar’s speech has taken a toll on social media.
These people are a threat to this country, its ideology and constitution. This situation is verging towards a dangerous point. Dr Abus Salam is a controversial figure. – Captain Safdar

So Capt Safdar attacked Ahmadi Dr Abdus Salam as he was a "non Muslim" & "traitor" acc to him. Here's Dr Salam's Nobel prize banquet speech. pic.twitter.com/7vx9HXmKfZ

The way Captain Safdar tried to isolate Ahmadis, was very wrong. But on the basis of that, trying to argue they are Muslims, is pathetic.

Captain Safdar has erased any pretensions of pluralism that the PML-N may have had.
Next time they try, Pakistanis should remember today.

Third rate fanatic Captain Safdar who has done nothing in life is abusing and attacking Dr. Abdus Salam. Irony died a thousand deaths.
