In the latest update of the Naqib Mehsood murder case, Ex-SSP Malir Rao Anwar, who has been proven as the murdered, tried to do something that his supporters were not expecting.

After taking innocent Naqib and hundreds of others’ lives in Malir, staged via fake encounters, the police officer tried escaping to Dubai from the Benazir International Airport, Rawalpindi.

Rao, at around 2:00 am, tried to travel to Dubai from Pindi, and while he was on the flight, he was taken back to the airport by Federal Investigation Agency officials. Stopped from traveling on EK-615, officials told Rao Anwar that his name had been placed on the Exit Control List and under current circumstances, they could not allow him to leave the country.

Anwar is facing a departmental inquiry after the extra-judicial murder of young Naqib Mehsood, who came to Karachi from Waziristan to earn an honest living, once he was cleared by the Pakistan Army, being given the Watan Card.

Last week, Naqib Mehsud was murdered in cold blood by Ex-SSP Malir Rao Anwar and his police team, who stated that Naqib Mehsud was a member of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan. However, what Rao and his team did not know was that Naqib was a social media celebrity, with over 20,000 followers.

Ever since civil society spoke up against Rao Anwar and the Supreme Court took suo-moto action, a police inquiry committee under the leadership of Sanaullah Abbasi had been made against Anwar. The committee came to a result that Anwar and team had killed Naqib in a staged encounter.

This is the first time, that it actually feels like an innocent man might get justice from somebody who has been abusing power for a long while. People from all over Karachi have started erupting and protests and stating that they had been tortured by Rao Anwar in the name of extortion.
