Nadra Issues A Statement Against the Viral Picture Claiming That Overseas Pakistanis Could Vote

The photo that started circulating on the internet made many overseas Pakistanis eutrophic. The photo had all the detailed information on how they can cast their vote for their desired candidate. It spread on the internet like a wildfire! It made many people think that NADRA has reached another milestone in terms of technology.

But only to surprise the people, Nadra just released an official statement which shattered every overseas Pakistani’s happiness.

National Database Regulatory Authority’s spokesperson clarified: 

“Overseas Pakistanis will not be allowed to vote on July 25”

He also said: 

“The Supreme Court of Pakistan is yet to decide on granting online voting rights to Pakistanis living abroad, in the next hearing which will take place after the general elections [scheduled to be held on July 25].”

This is the photo that was being circulated and no one could differentiate that it was fake or mockery!

The election commision of Pakistan’s spokesperson confirmed that a task force was made to keep an eye in the law;

“The team consisted of IT professionals and elections experts who presented a report to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, pointing out secrecy of ballot papers and no documentation in physical form as main reasons for this decision. The pilot project will run during the by-elections as an experiment to be made operational for the general elections.”

The election commision claimed to do something for the vast majority Pakistanis overseas in the last elections. But failed to do so. After the photo was circulated on the internet, they had some hope but it all went in vain.

It was promised in the last elections to run a pilot project for the general elections but that too never happened. While NADRA cleared its stance, people are more informed about their latest gain.
