Make America Great Again – that was the slogan of the incumbent President of the United States of America Donald Trump when he ran for elections. His right-wing promises are being fulfilled in more than one way, but instead of becoming great, America is stooping lower than ever.

From recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s new capital to a reduction in gun-laws and increment in public shootings, indeed, America is becoming great again. Ever since Trump took over, racial discrimination and hate crime in the US has increased more than ever. Incident after incident, Muslims in the US are being targeted and treated in an inhumane manner.

A father took to famous social media networking hub Facebook, where he posted a video of his 14-year-old daughter, Manaal Munshi, who was brutally beaten up by a gang of bullies from her school because she confronted them on their daily bullying of her. The reason? Because she had a different skin tone and was Muslim.

This is what her father, Shakeel Munshi, wrote on his Facebook profile:  “My daughter Manaal munshi(14 years – 9th-grade student) was getting bullied by a couple of school (West Boca High School, Boca Raton, FL) girls because she was Muslim. Today (Dec 21st) she decided to get this over and talk to girls but beaten badly by a gang of girls. She didn’t pick up a hand because don’t want to fight back. My wife called police as soon as found out and pressed charges against the girls.  Let’s see how USA rule of law works!!”

As per Manaal’s father, Manaal was being teased and bullied by white girls from her school on a regular basis. One day, she decided to confront them as to why they targeted her. At this, the girls went rogue and started swinging punches at Manaal, till she fell to the ground. Then, they started beating her together, kicking her while she was down.

After receiving video evidence of the incident, Manaal’s mother contacted the US police and the family is now waiting for justice. There was a time when Muslims, especially from places like Pakistan, felt safer in the US than in their own country. However, today, things have changed drastically. This discrimination and vile attitude of teenage white girls in the US shows what their parents and schools are teaching them.

This should be a substantial case to know if the US law would be helping out minorities when they are forcefully tortured by white supremacists, even if they cannot be considered as adults. The US Courts and police need to make an example out of these kids and this incident, so that no other Muslim child has to suffer the same fate.
