A step to unleash the potential of youth and let them raise their voice regarding the countenance of life in their own country – the vision of Destiny Pakistan Public Speaking Society has played a crucial role in the contingency of the fourth edition of Model Pakistan National Assembly. The event took place on 18th and 19th November 2017 at The Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi.

Model Pakistan National Assembly served as a real-time simulation of the Pakistan National Assembly where high-spirited and determined delegates not only got a chance and a platform to speak but to boost and elevate their debating skills as well. Moreover, the aim was not just to realize the problems, catastrophes, and crisis faced by Pakistan but to come up with practical solutions which are within the reach of a civilian and take an initiative towards solving them.

The root cause of this conference was not just to enhance the skills and win but to ensure that each delegate learns something. Hence; we hope that the delegates who were a part of this conference implement what they have learned in their practical life which would help them grow professionally, Students from 25 different institutes and private delegations were gathered under one roof to express their ideas.

5 Different committees were simulated including PNA, ISPR, PNSC, HCC, Press Corps concerning very intriguing topics ranging from the steps towards making Pakistan free of corruption to its war on terrorism to the discussion of basic rights of humans. The enthusiasm of the youth of Pakistan in trying to solve these major issues that affect our lives every day was something extraordinary and much needed to keep the spirit of patriotism alive.

It was to transform the way of thinking, by letting them analyze and think critically on issues pertaining to the national significance, we also ensured that delegates developed confidence and skills to negotiate which comes handy in all the walks of our life. During the 2-day event, Beacon light Academy emerged as the Best school and Whales College stood as runners-up.

“Our aim was to give individuals a platform to speak, express and empower” – Enabling them to become leaders of tomorrow and most importantly, better human beings.
