Every now and then, our field of work forces us to spread some messages, that are downright gut-wrenching. Pakistan is a country full of social vices and different mental disabilities that lead to shocking incidents which a sane mind cannot apprehend.

One such incident recently took place in Pindi-Bhattian, Punjab, where a mother slaughtered her three children, slitting their throats and dumping their bodies in the Jhang Canal.

The oldest of the three children was 6-year-old Zara, whose body was found with her throat slit with a sharp object, presumably a knife. The other two children were 4-year-old Faizan and his 2-year-old brother Ahmed. After murdering her children, the mother tried jumping in the canal to commit suicide but was saved by the locals, who then gave her up to the police.

The reason for this brutal act of horror is still not known. However, whatever it may be, no reason in this world can be tough or big enough for a mother to take her own children’s life. A mother, no matter how difficult situations get, always keeps her children near her and protects them from all evils that may harm them.

For the one who brought them into this world to end their journey herself, one has to be mentally incompetent and disable to commit such an act. The police of Pindi-Bhattian has lodged an FIR against the mother who is now under interrogation.

Dead bodies of the three children were recovered 6 days after the incident from the Jhang Canal. One can only wonder, what reason could be big enough that three little angels were murdered so brutally.

The two boys aged 4 and 2 also had brutal marks on their bodies, which shows that the mother did not spare her children, even if she wanted them to leave this world for some odd reason. She caused them as much pain as possible, which has put the police and society under severe perplexity as well. For further updates on the case, watch this space.
