A mother is thought to be the best guardian of her children. A woman, who sacrifices most of her life for the happiness of her children, can go rogue against the stereotype as well. From giving them birth, nurturing and raising them, a mother’s life revolves around her children only.
Recently, an incident shocked the whole country when it was reported, where a mother had taken 3 innocent lives, those too, of her own children. In Lahore’s Askari XI area. The mother, Aneeqa, has confessed to murdering her three kids under the influence of drugs, but has kept her reservations as well.
In her confessional statement, the young mother accepted that she strangulated her three children, Kaneez Fatima, Muhammad Ibrahim and Zain-ul-Abideen at different places, with a prayer mat (jaye namaz).
According to the police, the mother was under the influence of drugs when she took the lives of her three children, wrapping the prayer mat around their necks and strangling them to death. The mother, since then, has lost all her senses, but has also issued a video confessional statement in front of the police, where she keeps repeating she is responsible for everything that happened.
Initially, police was investigating if the involvement of a paramour (an outside lover) was present in the case or not. It is also being reported that Aneeqa had divorced her husband and lived with her three children inside the apartment where her lover, Hussain Mustafa, used to visit her. Aneeqa did not want to return the children to their father after marrying her lover, so under the influence, she decided to murder them.
The father of the children has filed a FIR against Aneeqa and another man being thought of as a paramour in the case. Heartbroken, the pictures of the three children have been going viral on the internet and people from all over the country have been giving their condolences.
The mother has also asked the people to hang her publicly, because she knows what she has done and she cannot live with this fact. The only question police cannot answer is that why is the mother repeating of forgiving others in the case, as she seems to be the only culprit.
