Malala Yousufzai, the girl who survived a life-threatening Taliban attack, has made her mark on the world. Malala, as well all know, originally belongs to Swat, Pakistan, but today, every country in the world wants her to be theirs.

As a young child activist, Malala started off early when she started working for girls’ right to study in the hinterlands of Pakistan. For her courage, she had to take a bullet to the face. However, miraculously, she survived.

Ever since then, the world sees Malala Yousufzai as an inspiration for every young girl in the world, and even for men who do not have enough courage to do the right thing. After already holding the feathers of multiple international prizes in her cap, including the renowned Nobel Prize, Malala Yousufzai now makes it to the list of the most influential female leaders in the United Kingdom.

This achievement comes after Malala recently joined the reputed Oxford University. Even though a lot of nations are in contention to offer Malala honorary citizenship, it is the UK that has excelled in highlighting Malala’s achievement and providing her with all necessities to make her one of their own.

On the other hand, Pakistan, where Malala actually hails from, has denounced her throughout the years she has remained in the limelight. Many Pakistanis are STILL of the opinion that Malala is a ‘Yahoodi agent’ and everything that happened to her, was planned and executed to perfection.

The Harper Bazaar UK stated that: “On our 150th anniversary year, following the success of the Bazaar At Work events programme, we have launched a list celebrating 150 of the most influential female leaders in the UK”. Along with her Nobel Prize, the reason Malala made it to the list, as per Harper Bazaar, was:  “She opened a school for Syrian refugee girls in Lebanon, and is currently studying PPE at Oxford University”.

While Pakistanis still do not praise and accept that Malala Yousafzai is a renowned activist and philanthropist, she keeps shining brighter as an individual. However, the still very young Ms. Yousufzai has not forgotten her roots. From time to time, even with all the fame, she keeps reminding the world that she is a Pakistani and wants to dedicate her life for the betterment of her homeland.

Even after all her achievements, it feels like a huge majority of Pakistanis will not be accepting her love and admiration for Pakistan, forever labeling her as an outcast.
