The Zainab rape and murder case which has been the talk of the country, has showcased a lot of new twists and turns. It all started after Imran Ali the culprit was arrested. Only after that did the beans start to spill.

A couple of days after Imran’s arrest, famous tv personality and news anchor Shahid Masood, made claims that rattled the hearts of the people of Pakistan. As per Shahid Masood, Imran Ali is no ordinary villager, but a part of an international ring.

Shahid Masood claimed that Imran Ali had 37-40 international bank accounts, who paid direct money to watch violent child pornography. A taboo on the dark-web where people pay to see rape and torture of children.

As per the anchor, Imran Ali had millions of dollars in his account and he used Zainab as one of his episodes on the live stream. After this, BOL TV Bureau Chief started backing Shahid Masood’s claims, saying that Imran Ali had 167 international accounts and indeed was a part of the violent child-porn industry.

All that is still to be proven, but what is proven is that Zainab’s killer, was not arrested by Punjab Govt or Punjab police, but by Zainab’s own family. In the latest statement given by Zainab’s father Amin Ansar, he says that the police could not trace Imran, it was him and his family who worked in finding and catching him. He said that the first picture that came out of Imran sitting inside a house, was when they caught him and kept him at Amin’s brother’s house.

“We had been insisting that Imran is the culprit since Jan 5, the day Zainab went missing, but police ignored us,” Mr Amin told journalists present. So according to Zainab’s father, the police tried protecting Imran, instead of accepting him as the killer.

Maybe this is why Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah turned the mics off for Zainab’s father so he doesn’t spill the beans. Instead, they resorted to clapping for Punjab police.

Not just this, but the local barber present in Zainab’s neighborhood said that Zainab used to come to his shop with her father, whenever he needed a trim. He also said that the animal Imran was a regular visitor of his shop. The barber, after Zainab went missing, tried tracing her for three days, before he went down with a cold.

Whatever the case may be, this particular incident of Zainab’s tragic demise has shown so many loopholes in our system, but on the brighter side, it has also showed us that if the people of Pakistan unite behind an agenda, nobody can shun them.
