Khadija Stabbing Case – Accused Shah Hussain Sentenced to 7 years of Imprisonment by Court

Over a year ago, Khadija Siddiqui, a law student of TILS (The Insitute of Legal Studies), Lahore was stabbed 23 times by her own classmate. She became the victim of that vile attack during May of 2016 when she went to pick up her sister, Sofia from Convent of Jesus and Mary in Lahore. The attacker who is the son of a renowned lawyer, Sayed Tanvir Hashmi attacked her neck and chest. It is not less than a miracle how Khadija managed to survive the barbaric attack that day.

In the aftermath, Khadija reported Parhlo the entire incident and we created an awareness about the case. It was presented in court soon after and followed a round of proceedings throughout the 12 months. Later on, she faced a problem of sharing her examination room with her attacker. It was another traumatic experience on top of the post-traumatic stress Khadija was already facing. However, a petition was filed against it and she successfully granted a restraint from Shah Hussain, the attacker.

Further development in the case: Shah Hussain has been jailed for 7 years

A local court of Lahore has given its verdict. Shah Hussain has been jailed for 7 years by the court. The verdict was preserved on Friday but announced on Saturday after the defense and prosecution completed presented their arguments. Punjab Police was readily ordered to arrest Shah Hussain, thereafter.
