15-year-old Tayyaba hails from Thar and currently lives in Karachi. A few weeks back she was harassed by some guys, initially, she got a message from a number saying that he has Tayyaba’s pictures. It was a complete lie just to trap the girl and it happened continuously for some days.

One day she was going to the madrassah, and on her way she was kidnapped by some guys near a bus stop and she was brought to a home where she was raped by 7 people and they recorded a video but it did not stop there. She was so afraid, they told her that if she told anyone, they would put her video on the internet. After that she was called four times, with people threatening her and she did not tell anyone.

Things were happening for almost one month and guy also demanded money from her which she couldn’t give and in the end she told the whole story to her family, instead of believing in our police system they went to a private TV channel where Iqral ul Hassan helped her family and four guys admitted on camera that they had committed the crime, and all 4 were arrested.

Her father is striving to get justice, he has requested the chief justice & media to highlight this issue so that Tayyaba can get justice. Her father has been threatened by the owner of the house to leave it as he lives on the rental house, other relatives of those suspects are threatening Tayyaba’s father.

One question came to my mind that is this a Muslim country? Are they human beings? A survey (about harassment in Pakistan) says that many people do not come up with these problems in public fearing from the system that they won’t get justice, but Tayyaba’s father decided to take a stand, so that people learn a lesson from it, if today her father will not get justice then the confidence in society will go down and people will stay silent knowing that the system is extremely cruel and they will not get justice. My request to the chief justice of Pakistan to take suo-moto on this issue and help Tayyaba out.
