The other day, after canceling all my commitments, I went to the event which had created a hype since last few weeks on Social Media. Yes, I am talking about ISLAMABAD EAT. But upon reaching there, they wouldn’t let you enter because you are not with FAMILY.

Now I want the management to explain that if I don’t have my family here in Islamabad and it resides in Quetta, how can I attend this event? Their response was like as if they don’t care. Now there is a word for it, it is DISCRIMINATION.  Discrimination against the male face in our society which mostly goes unnoticed.

And it goes unnoticed because of “HYPOCRISY” which resides in our society when it comes to terms like discrimination and harassment. If it would have been an ordinary female who had been denied entry into any event that event might have been shut down due to the mass protest people would have carried out for her.

But when a male is subjected to same harassment no one cares. I request you to raise this issue on any platform you can. Men are being discriminated against. Why is every guy judged the same way? If I am not at a festival with my family, does it mean that I do not belong to a good family? If we won’t raise our voices against this growing face of gender-discrimination in Pakistan, then things like these will keep happening.
