It is narrated by Buraidah that Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said that, “Visit graves, for in visiting them there is a reminder (of death)” – Sunan Abu Dawood Book 21 Hadith 3229.

The above hadith shows that visiting the graveyard is one of the practices which reminds oneself of death. In Islam, a grave or graveyard is a respectable place and every Muslim should keep in mind that he has to come here anytime soon!

In another narration which is narrated Abu Hurairah, The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) went out to the graveyard and said: “Peace be upon you, inhabitants of the dwellings who are of the community of the believers. If Allah wills we shall join you” – Sunan Abi Dawud, Book 21, Hadith 149

But it seems that we have forgotten the moral and ethical values of living in a society as per Islamic rulings. One of the renowned university of Karachi, Iqra University had arranged a Sufi Concert on 2nd December at their North Nazimabad Campus.

The campus is located near a graveyard where people come on a daily basis to pray for their loved ones or to bury them. Yesterday, when the concert in the campus was in full swing, there were some people in the graveyard praying for the departed souls and there was a family who came with a funeral there. But the music concert in the Iqra University North Nazimabad Campus annoyed them!

Here Is The Video Which Went Viral On Social Media!
