We are Pakistanis and we celebrate our freedom like no other. Today is the day when India, was standing in front of us with its massive armed forces to conquer Pakistan. Our lion-hearted sons of soil stood up to fight with them and abolished their evil ideas.

It was a sunny day when our nation was in teen, fought a battle with a mammoth force on earth, who thinks to claim our cultural heritage city, Lahore, within hours and will have their winning breakfast and wine in Lahore. But that dream never came in to being. Now, 53 years have been passed, and we still retain the spirit and the honor of our brave jawans who fought against India and unfolded the victory for Pakistan.

What do we know about the 6th of September? Today, our generation is aware of the sacrifice which our great armed forces gave for the safety of their motherland. Today, we are not aware of what we have lost to get this peaceful and unruffled country which is now the biggest occupational country in Asia.

The battle of 6th September 1965 begins when Indian armed forces crossed the international border of Pakistan and declared a formal war against Pakistan from the areas which were considered a backbone of Pakistan such as Lahore and Sialkot. It was the biggest battle of tanks which was fought on the land of Punjab after the WW2.

3 a.m. at night when people were sleeping peacefully, India started a war originally and attacked the areas of Lahore and Sialkot at a time but we had a force of Sher Dil jawan and a nation of brave people who stood in front of them and saved their much-loved country. People started blood donation as the government announced an emergency in the whole country. That’s when people went out from their home with any weapons they had and even they approached the border with basic household items to fight with India to destroy it.

The lesson we learned from 6th September is that when we have a combination of faith and unity there is no power on earth that can undo Pakistan. We love our army we stand with our army in every tempestuous situation.
