The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has become a gift that keeps on giving. From to be Prime Minister of Pakistan to third-time husband, Imran’s plans may have changed slightly, but the PTI Chieftain is nothing but happy.
There are some people who aren’t too happy with Imran’s third marriage, his ex-wife Reham Kham, 44, being one of them. Imran Khan married Reham in 2015, only to divorce her 10 months later.
Recently, Khan enjoyed his third marriage to his spiritual guide, Bushra Wattoo (previously Bushra Maneka). The veiled new bride of Khan has caused a stir on social media, but his ex-wife is after him like never before. Reham Khan now alleges that Imran Khan has been unfaithful to her during their 10 months of marriage, as he kept meeting his current wife during their marriage.
While speaking to The Times, Reham Khan said that Imran had been having a ‘long extra-marital’ affair with Bushra Wattoo, even during the time he was married to Reham Khan. “Imran Khan was in contact with Bushra three years ago when I was his wife and he is not the truthful man,” she said. It is very famous that Imran Khan is a playboy turned politician, but these are pretty serious allegations from Reham Khan, considering her ex-husband’s popularity.
Not only this, Reham also called Imran Khan a liar, saying that he forced her to enter the marriage on a particular date, which was not revealed to the media and the rest of the country. A couple of months after their nikkah, the details were revealed. The same, she said, has happened in the case of his marriage with Bushra Wattoo. The couple eloped on January 1, but the details were revealed a few days back.
Reham Khan also said that Imran is spell-bound by his new wife, who he took all his spiritual guidance from. The peer/mureedi system, which is so often denounced in Pakistan, is being followed in full swing by the former World Cup winning captain. In an interview of almost 30 years ago, Imran Khan told Moin Akhtar that he never believed in spiritual guidance, peers or peernis.
Thirty years later, Imran Khan’s whole politics and every action of his revolves around what his spiritual guide and his new wife says. These latest allegations of Imran Khan being a cheater will not go very well with the public. Some might subject her to harsh criticism, while the rest may slander Imran Khan.
