Former News Anchor of BOL Tweets Against them for Stealing Her Car and Not Paying Salary

From past one-week, BOL and Axact are in the limelight again after few years. The media group is accused of the same as before for producing fake degrees and selling them at the price of a mansion. Not just that, last year in April, Umair Hamid served as Axact’s “Assistant Vice President of International Relations.” He pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Main fraud allegations include: (1) Falsely represented that consumers who “enrolled” in the schools by paying tuition fees would receive online instruction and coursework. (2) Sold bogus academic “accreditations” in exchange for an additional fee. (3) Falsely represented that the schools had been certified or accredited by various educational organizations. (4) Falsely represented that the schools’ degrees were valid and accepted by employers, including in the United States.

On Saturday, Huma Amir Shah, a news anchor and former BOL employee tweeted about how BOL and Axact group stole her car, that they had given her as collateral for lacs of rupees in unpaid salary.

In her tweet, she demeans Axact saying they aren’t returning her belongings which she had in the car…

Following her tweet, other people shared their experience as well. Telling about how they too are waiting for unpaid salaries and are not responding to any of the calls…

Axact was accused of international educational fraud but now the employees are turning against its fraudulent practices on them.

Last week BBC’s report on “staggering trade in fake degrees revealed” was an uproar on social media. Recently, BBC has released its investigation on Tuesday which proves how thousands of UK nationals were provided fake degrees by Axact.

Back in May 2015, Declan Walsh, the New York Times reporter, exposed Axact’s fake degree scam by releasing all the forged documents that the IT company was using for their online college websites.

Looking at the issue Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, the Chief Justice of Pakistan took a suo moto notice of the fake degree scandal by Axact on Friday in Islamabad.
