Karachi is a metropolitan city and it has the highest population rate as compared to the other cities of Pakistan. It has about thirty government hospitals and eighty private sector hospitals. Similarly, it has various welfare centers and ambulance services.
The traffic of the city is increasing day by day and most of the times, we see ambulances having a hard time passing through it. Little do we know, due to this, a patient may lose their life on the spot. Why does this happen? It’s because many of us have become irresponsible and careless. We only think about ourselves just so we can reach our workplaces, homes as soon as possible. That truly proves how selfish we as humans have become.
It is difficult to walk in someone else’s shoes. It is true that we cannot feel others’ pain until we go through the same situation. It depends on our values; either we know the worth of human life if we know its significance then we definitely surely need to give way to an ambulance without any hesitation.
In driving laws, it has been mentioned clearly to give way to an ambulance no matter if you’re at a signal to save human lives. It is the prime responsibility of every human being for a good.
But it is very sad to observe that we, humans, can be very inhumans at times. There are many rules for driving a but at the same time, we have rule breakers as compared to the law followers. You might be familiar with this quote below:
“Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire”. Oscar Schindler
If we voluntarily serve our services for humanity and try to clear the roads for ambulances than we can control this issue.
