Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The Hajj 2018 Policy If You Plan On Visiting

The Pakistan government has laid down its policy for Hajj 2018, from the date when the applications will start being accepted, to all the rules and terms. This is a complete guide for you if you plan on visiting Allah Almighty’s house in 2018.

The applications start on 15th January 2018 and the last date of submission will be 24 January 2018. Some changes have been made to the Hajj 2017 policy, while others remain the same. Here are the details:

1) The cost of Hajj package for one person from Northern Region will be Rs. 280,000.

2) The cost for people from the Southern Region will be Rs. 270,000.

3) Total quota for Pakistanis in 2018 will be: 179, 210.

4) An additional Rs. 13,050 will be charged for Qurbani (Animal Sacrifice).

5) Government will manage 120,000 pilgrims while private tour companies will handle rest.

6) 10,000 seats will b e reserved for people over 80 years of age. They are to be accompanied by one attendant at least.

7) Applying people who have not been selected in draws for three times will have an additional chance this year. 10,000 seats have been set aside for people who qualify for this particular case.

8) People who have already performed Hajj on a government scheme are not eligible for application this year. Also people who have performed Hajj in the last 3 years are not eligible, even through private companies.

9) A mehram should accompany women of every age, other than Shia women. Shia women who are 45 years and above will not need a mehram to travel with them for Hajj. 

The new policy has already been accepted and approved by the Federal Government of Pakistan and will be carried out from the starting date of the applications. The concerned Minister Sardar Yusuf has also conversed with authorities to reduce the period of Hajj from 38 days to 30 days, in order to benefit the Hajjis in more than one way.
