We have been watching our national cricket team for the past 20 years now and they’ve done wonders occasionally, whether it is in the World Cup Finals of 1992 or 1999, the T20 World Cup 2009, World cup Semi-Final 2011 or the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Final. They have been a fascination to watch.
Pakistan from the beginning has been producing exceptional players like Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Hanif Mohammad, Wasim Akram and much more, still, the team is producing some world-class talent that is doing a wonderful job in making this country proud globally.
Cricket in Pakistan has always been an element of enthusiasm, passion, and patriotism for the people, they’ve been relying on it for ages. There have been many ups and down in the way of this cricket team, they have faced humiliating defeats too, like the West Indies Tour’s 2nd Test Match on May 2017, ICC Champions Trophy 2017 loss to India in group matches and even the England vs Pakistan T20 Series in Dubai in November 2015. The viewers and supporter have also faced some very depressing situations because of the Pakistani team, regardless, they’ve always been supporting it with a full outburst of strong emotions and hence, whenever the team faces a defeat the whole nation feels it.
Recently Pakistan has been playing a series with Sri Lanka Cricket Team in Dubai, the series started on 28th September with a test match in the UAE. The series was based on 2 Test matches, 5 ODI matches, and 3 T20s; Pakistan lost both of the Test Matches but has won all except those till today. They whitewashed Sri Lanka in ODI’s unexpectedly as well as in T20s too. The performance of Pakistan Team has been phenomenal throughout this series as well as the last tournament that was the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

The 3rd T20 was arranged well in the city of Lahore, the viewers and supporters turned out in tons of number, not even a single seat was available last night. International Cricket has returned to Pakistan after a horrible gap of 8 years.It was Sri Lanka that was attacked 8 years ago and last night it was again Sri Lanka who came and played a beautiful game here in Lahore. The atmosphere was somewhat magical.
Pakistani Team in this tour specifically has debuted some new players too which includes Faheem Ashraf who has been performing really well with the ball, took a hattrick in 2nd T20 while giving away only 16 runs, another debutant is Usman Khan Shinwari who only managed to pick up 1 wicket in his debut match, the third debutant is Imam-ul-Haq hailing from Lahore who debuted his 1st ODI with a brilliant century. Imam got many praises and good wishes from people all over Pakistan and has become an overnight sensation in the country.
