Earlier today, I was eating french fries near my area. There were two kids selling some books. They came to me and asked me to buy them a box of fries. I usually don’t give money to the beggars or kids because of the drug intake. However, if they ask for the food, I buy them. So, I bought them fries.

I have a habit that whenever I’m alone and see these small kids, I usually ask questions to know the real reasons behind their presence on the streets of Karachi like this because unfortunately, begging has now turned into a profession by some mafias. If I find nothing wrong, I try to help them however I can. To be honest, this is not a new thing that I’ve recorded, you can find many of these kids on every food streets.

The point which I’m about to raise is that these kids of ages 8 to 10 or even younger, do they really deserve to sell books on the streets? Why are children forced to do labor work in different shops to earn some coins? Remember,  these kids are going to turn 18,19 and 20 someday and in that time, if they don’t get the required education, what should they get now? What will be the future of this country? We’re already lacking behind with this crisis.

Instead of giving them money, try to go to their houses, meet their parents and change their minds to stop their kids from doing so. Or, if they give the reason for unemployment, try to arrange a job for them. Being a student, we all know the importance of education; enroll these kids in schools with fees that you can afford. We all have a habit of spending a lot of money on different outings, so this should certainly not be a difficult task.

I have done it in the past for two kids Alhamdullilah. Just imagine if somehow 100 kids will start getting the education just because of us and in future they will going to become a doctor, an engineer, computer scientists and many more, how much we will going to prosper we can’t even imagine, how much poverty will be minimized.

Think about this cause for a minute and do listen to the short story of this kid. Share it if you think education can resolve many problems of many people and obviously of this country. #EducatePakistan #EducateTheStreetKids #Peace
