The only daughter of Pakistan’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah has passed away at the age of 98. She was Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Maryam Bai, also formerly known as Ratanbai Petit’s only child.

Dina Jinnah was born on the 15th August 1919 has today left the world. Dina was brought into the world when Muhammad Ali Jinnah had focused on finding the perfect plight for Muslims of the sub-continent in the shape of independence.

Dina’s childhood passed in circumstances that differed from anyone else’s of that time. She grew up watching her father become a historical figure, one that would lead Pakistan to independence.

Quaid-e-Azam’s daughter moved out of Pakistan after her father’s death in 1948. She then revisited Pakistan only on the invitation of President Parvez Musharraf in 2004 for diplomatic reasons.
