An extremely heart-wrenching incident, Sindh’s minister for Power & Development, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani along with his wife ex-MPA Fareeha Razzaq, were found dead inside their home in Defence, Karachi.
The couple died sustaining bullet injuries, and their bodies were recovered from the study inside their house. Initial reports claimed that Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani along with wife had been murdered. However, the case has taken a new turn.
After initial investigation, the case seems to be a homicide-suicide. As per the sources of Ab Tak, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani shot his wife dead, before taking his own life. The bodies were found in positions that do not justify murder.
Mrs. Fareeha Razzaq, Mir Hazar Khan’s second wife, apparently had been in argument with her husband for many days. Their relationship, according to close family sources and their guards/servants, was on the rocks. On the morning that they died, the couple fought all night and voices were heard outside by the servants.
The house was locked from the inside with just Mr. Hazar Khan and wife present in the house. Furthermore, all CCTV cameras in the house have not spotted anyone going in or coming out. It was after loud screaming and shouting that the house management heard 4 gunshots, all from Mir Hazar Khan’s own pistol, which misfired one bullet as well.
Fareeha Razzaq was shot once in the abdomen, once in the leg and once in the head, while Mir Hazar Khan shot himself on the temple, with the pistol falling to the ground next to him. Even though officials are deterrent of coming out with this news, this indeed, seems like the only possible thing that could have happened.
The family source informed Ab Tak that Mir Hazar Khan had been immensely troubled in the last few weeks and was going through a lot. Still, he would meet his servants nicely, get everything done that needed to be. His death has come as a huge shock to the PPP and Sindh’s veteran politicians, with everyone pouring in their condolences to the family.
The reason of the tragic incident is still unknown, but as per some servants/guards of the Bijarani family, it might have been Fareeha Razzaq that first tried to kill Mir Hazar Khan with his own pistol. However, the minister got a hold of the gun and shot his wife dead, before taking his own life, after seeing what he had done.
