Yesterday’s terrorist attack on the Agriculture Directorate, located in front of the Peshawar University, was again an attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity. In the tragic incident, 9 people lost their lives, while another 38 were left injured.

Thanks to the prompt action by Peshawar Police and other security agencies, all the terrorists were neutralized before they could do more damage. All of them had automatic rifles, along with suicide vests which they were wearing.

The incident, however, brought about the best in many people, bringing potential heroes in front of Pakistan. The SSP Peshawar Sajjad Khan is being hailed all over the country for his love for the duty and protection of Pakistani people after he showed up at the Directorate, still wearing his sleeping suit, not wasting any time.

Although there is one hero whose actions still haven’t been highlighted. This unnamed kid from Bannu is a student at the Agriculture Directorate, and his part in the incident is something that no Pakistani would be expecting.

According to the ASP Police Farooq Amjad, this young boy from Bannu came face to face with an armed terrorist, who was also wearing a suicide vest. Upon the confrontation, this young student snatched the terrorist’s Kalashnikov, and shoved him into a room, locking it from outside! After police reached the room, the terrorist was shot dead before he could blow himself up.

People on social media are hailing this young boy’s courage and efforts, turning him into a local hero. People have also been proposing Tamgha-e-Jurrat for this young lad who did not fear the terrorist after coming face to face with him.

This young boy needs to be taken care of by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, which needs to provide him with free education and a laurel as well. To end the scourge of terrorism, the common man would have to cut the element of fear, just as this lad did.
