If you ever ask a parent about what they hold dearest, they would say it’s their children, regardless of all the worldly assets they own. To be a parent, one does not need to be filthy rich, nor poor. To be a parent demands only the desire to want the very best for your children.
One couple desired just that, the best for their child, so they ended up at Patel Hospital in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, for the baby’s delivery. After the baby was born, she weighed 11 pounds and looked absolutely perfect.
However, the doctor on duty demanded that the baby is put in the hospital’s nursery care to have a better look into her health. Tragically, the baby girl passed away at the hands of the doctor. After the body was handed over to the family along with the heartbreaking news, what the family came across turned the pain into anger.
Apparently, the doctor’s negligence led to the baby’s death. When the body was handed over, she was profusely bleeding from her ears, nose, and mouth, with a huge scar on her foot. The condition in which the body was handed over did not look normal at all.
The family of the deceased child protested in front of the hospital and upon summoning the media, the hospital administration refused from answering anything on camera. Police too, have not been able to work on the case with significant speed.
A Facebook post was created by a member of the family has gone viral and has been shared thousands of time, with hundreds of people lamenting the hospital/doctor’s negligence and praying for the departed soul.
The family demands justice for their loss, with the doctor/hospital being brought to the book. However, no matter what comes of this particular case now, a life lost cannot be replaced. Let us pray for the departed soul and hope no other child suffers the same fate.
