The summer season has set in and how do we actually realize it? Quite surely, the hot season has brought with it the fiery flames that just seemed beyond control in two recent incidents. The first one occurred in Paris, at the historically famous Notre Dame cathedral. The second incident was soon to follow within a span of a few hours, in Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque. Both fires are still being scrutinized for their source, yet there might be some imparting a different angle to both the unfortunate incidents.

Fires Can “Play” Differently On Their Own Accord

Latest reports on the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque incident suggest that the main worship site never caught fire. It was a dome of rocks that was set ablaze by some children playing nearby. But quite incredibly, the incident coincided with a similar one occurring in Paris, France situated thousands of miles away. The only difference noticeable was that of the worship place: a cathedral against the mosque here in Jerusalem.

As for the damages outside the Mosque, there were not much significant. Yet it did imperil a portion of the worship site which is around 2,000 years old. The authorities have been quoted to have commended the way the fire brigade of Jerusalem Islamic Waqf tackled the situation tactfully.

On The Other Side: Fire Scourges The French Historic Cathedral

The reporting agencies were quick to their task of reporting the incident in all possible details. According to these sources, a major fire erupted at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Monday. The cause of the fire eruption remains unclear, but officials do not currently suspect acts of terrorism, sabotage or arson. The cathedral, which was undergoing renovation works, sustained significant damages.

The fire was eventually extinguished the next day, on Tuesday morning. There were no casualties and only one firefighter reported slightly injured. The outcome of the incident? The iconic spire at the top of the Cathedral collapsed under the heavy flames. The smoldering residues are still being cooled down after the cooling process was initiated.

“Christian” Fire Vs “Muslim” Fire: The Sinister Angle Can Well Play Havoc

How about applying the aspect of “communal” fire that demolishes structures based on faith? Or more logically but more inhumanly, some act of sabotage performed at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, in response to the demolished cathedral?

There might definitely be an insane, headstrong lobby whose misleading chores would misguide many people worldwide. We all know it — religion by far is the best sellable commodity at all global locations, among all classes of people. Whatever ensues, it’s up to the sagacity and wisdom of the people which would mar any probable inter-faith conflict.
