Corruption has now taken over Pakistan and it is something that every Pakistani needs to accept. Isn’t it? From politics to sports, Pakistan is instantly linked to dirty cases of corruption. And it is the most common factor which is slowly eating Pakistan as a whole.
There was a time when people respected their wisdom and did whatever they could rather than taking bribes. But nowadays, bribing has become so common that it is often seen happening shamelessly on the streets, government places, universities, etc.
Recently, the staff of a local airline was caught taking bribes from a passenger. The video which was leaked was made by a passenger who was waiting in the queue to get his boarding pass but little did he know the person behind him would be catered to by bribing the staff who were there on duty. Furious with rage and upon asking the available staff as to why this happened. However, they had no answer and kept requesting the person to stop making the video.
However, the staff had no answer and kept on requesting the person to stop making the video. But he refused to do so as he wanted to record everything that was going on… This is indeed appalling as such a thing is now seen happening at the airport.

Where were the authorities when this happened? Why all of a sudden, the staff was heard saying, “Give him his boarding pass.” Are they no rules or protocol to follow? What happened to the system?
Let’s face and accept that we are lagging behind as a country. We’ve stopped growing and the rising corruption in this country on a daily basis is mind-boggling. The question that lies here is that, will Pakistan ever be corruption-free?
