Matni, Kohat Road – 24 school-going-children were injured in an accident that took place in Peshawar today. The school van collided with an oncoming truck early morning.
As per the hospital staff and the local police, nine children were rushed to the nearest Lady Reading Hospital due to their critical condition. Out of nine, two were said to be in critical condition as well.
The remaining 15 injured students were provided with first-aid assistance on the site and were later shifted to the Government Nasrullah Khan Babar Memorial Hospital in order to provide more medical care and assistance to them.
After the reopening of the schools from the Summer vacations, the mishap took place today. No casualty has yet been reported by the officials.
