According to Former President Musharraf, Zardari Plotted the Assassination of Benazir Bhutto

One of the petition claims that the former president General Pervez Musharraf was the mastermind behind the killing of Benazir. According to the claim, Javed Cheema, the former foreign ministry spokesperson and Mark Siegel, the American journalist have evidence which proves the involvement of Musharraf.

These claims embarked the notion by Musharraf, who then made a video message, addressing towards the children of Benazir and the people of Sindh. Musharraf started his message by speaking about the murder of Murtaza Bhutto, who was never investigated during the presidential tenure of Zardari. As per his allegations, Zardari was also behind the killing of Murtaza Bhutto and he stated that the downfall of Bhutto started with the presence of corrupt Zardari.

Musharraf went on and about in his video message, sharing how this was all a huge conspiracy plotted by Zardari and how he never connected the dots to find the mastermind behind the killing of Benazir. According to the former army chief, he is sure that Baitullah Mehsud was behind the killing of Benazir and that Zardari was the mastermind behind this place.

Pervez Musharraf raised many questions such as “why weren’t the people sitting in Benazir’s car investigated? Why was Benazir’s head of security Khalid Shehenshah murdered and why wasn’t his killing investigated?” He went on and about how the lack of evidence and investigation keeps Zardari on the lose while he goes putting the blame on Musharraf and others.

Conclusively, Musharraf said that he didn’t gain anything from the murder of Benazir and the one who got all the benefit is Zardari.
