A few days ago, the official logo of Pakistan’s 70 years of independence celebrations was unveiled which was launched at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts in Islamabad. The idea behind it was to depict Pakistan’s cultural diversity and history. To participate in this, almost 400 entries were submitted by 200 artists.
The finalized logo was designed by a third-year student, Saba Zaman of National University and Science and Technology, who was awarded Rs 500,000 by the government of Pakistan upon coming up with the best-designed logo.

However, according to sources, the finalized designed is said to be fabricated off from the Shutterstock website, which has left everyone in shock – especially those who made theirs from scratch. LOL. Here’s the logo which was found on the website:
It is pretty debatable if it was actually fabricated, but a lot of inspiration can be seen. No? Sources have said that the design has actually been stolen and the government should have verified the finalized logo before unveiling it.
But here’s a twist, according to another source, a guy has claimed that the Shutterstock URL was cached on July 25, 2017. This means that the person had copied the finalized logo after it had won the award and uploaded it on Shutterstock. Well, wow. This all leads to a debate whether the logo was actually fabricated or not.
We wonder if the government is investigating to look into the details because let’s face it, the decision did leave everyone in a shock and many said that it was an unfair decision. Let’s just wait and find out. What do you think after watching the video?
