Winter comes every year and just goes by, but after the release of Game of Thrones, winters have been very dear to our hearts. If we fans got a chance to get one season all year long, no doubt it would have been winter because now the only priority is the throne. But the question is, who will be strong enough to get the iron throne. Will it be Jon, Dany or maybe someone whom we haven’t given a thought to yet?

People who religiously follow Game of Thrones are biting their nails as every episode progresses. But the major concern of everyone now are the hackers who have proved to be more impatient than all of us. And it’s funny that people are acting as they are very annoyed at the hackers but love it when they upload anything regarding the series. Reports claim that there are a group of hackers who are using the name “Mr. Smith” and have posted a fresh cache of stolen HBO files online on Monday. And now, here comes the shocking part, they have demanded a multimillion-dollar ransom from the network to prevent the release of entire television series and other sensitive proprietary files.

The data dump includes the script from five GOT episodes and consisting one forthcoming episode, in addition to this, the hackers have also posted a number of emails from Leslie Cohen, HBO’s vice president for film programming, and other internal communications at HBO. There were also internal documents, including a report of legal claims against the network and job offer letters to top executives. The theft of “proprietary information” was previously acknowledged by HBO to which they said they are continuing to investigate and are working with the police and security experts. The network said on Monday that it still did not believe that the email system as a whole had been compromised.

The group of hackers who hacked HBO are not only limited to Game of Thrones and they have it all under their control as they have claimed to have information, which includes scripts, upcoming episodes of HBO shows and movies and data damaging to HBO which means that it’s not limited to Game of Thrones only. In a video message that was directed to the CEO of HBO Richard Plepler, Mr. Smith threatened HBO for further disclosure if they don’t pay them while they used a white text on a black background in the video. In order to stop the leaks, the group of hackers has demanded “their 6-month salary in Bitcoin,” which they implied is at least $6 million.

Now the question is, will HBO pay them? Because if they don’t, then grab your snacks to watch Game of Throne’s leaked episodes coming right away. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
