When people cannot do something productive to achieve certain goals, they indulge in fraud. People around the world, that seek shortcuts, often ends up as a trickster-who has no future.

In Pakistan, a group of people has been apprehended by the police who portrayed themselves as authorities of Pakistan army and asked for the account details of common people. They used to ask the details under the pretext of recently held census in the country.

According to sources, the gang used to call people and asked for the assets they own. Besides, they cunningly used to tell we are transferring your call to the major sahab and then the pseudo major used to ask about the account details. They told people they are taking details to add those to the census data.

It is not the first time that law enforcement agencies have caught such groups. Earlier this year, in July, FIA arrested a group that used to lure people of Faisalabad for lotteries and hefty prizes. This group impersonated themselves as army officials. Moreover, in Multan, two people were arrested for fraud and faking their name as Col Amir and Captain Sibt-e-Hassan.

Pakistan army is the institution of dignity and one of the most disciplined institutions Pakistan. It has become a fashion, in Pakistan to impersonate as an army personnel. Impersonation has not always been used to loot people but sometimes to impress the girls too.

There is a famous saying “greed is a curse” no matter how artful the fraudulent is, ultimately he will be caught. People need to understand in the long run, shortcuts always lead to disaster. A tricky attitude never leads anyone to the heights of greatness.

Moreover, it is the responsibility of the whole society to take up the issue of fraud. The intellectuals of society need to understand why people are choosing the path of fraud in Pakistan. The government must provide people employment as they say ”poverty is the mother of crime” if these people had a job they would not be doing frauds.

Hopefully, in Naya Pakistan, the government will provide people with employment and secure them against these ruthless fraudulent.
