Bringing back the memories of past shows how rape has always been a highlighted issue for Pakistan, although it has always been kept a hush-hush affair. Either the victim was silenced or was forced to drop charges against the suspect. In all of the recent incidents the future generation of this nation has been made the target over and over again but unfortunately, humanity seems to be taking its last breath. Recently, another case was reported where a 14-year old boy was raped by three armed men in Mehar, Sindh.
As per the details of the case the boy’s name is Waqar Malah who was raped in an administrative subdivision (taluka) of Dadu District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. Only one of the suspect’s name has been discovered till now which is Ishaq Brohi. The identity of the other two rapists has not been uncovered as per the reports. Protesters including the relative of Waqar (Qadir Malah, Muhammad Urs Malah, Madad Malah) and some others have been asking for justice in front of the Mehar police station. However, an FIR has been lodged by the police against Ishaq Brohi along with two other suspects.
After Zainab’s case, there have been numerous incidents where children are getting raped in different parts of Pakistan almost every day. In this high time, the future generation seems to be facing gross injustice which pretty much explains that the promises done for a secure tomorrow have faded away.
The injuries caused to this nation will now only be healed when justice would be served. Security of every citizen should now be the topmost priority.
